Who We Are

Hello, nyob zoo. We are sisters, Julie and Shuantxhis, and welcome to our journey.

Her Society was born from the idea of sharing with communities near and far, through fashion, a piece of the Hmong paj ntaub primarily focused on the batik fabric. These beautiful and intricate hand crafted fabric pieces are vital to the history, culture and identity of our people. And it was not until recently that we have grown to truly appreciate the art and stories behind the craft. Most importantly, realizing and acknowledging the hard working Hmong women who first created paj ntaub by hand.

We are excited to share our people's beautiful batik and paj ntaub pieces with you.

Sincerely,

Julie & Shuantxhis

Women Owned, Women Empowered

We strive to be more than two sisters who sell hand bags…

A huge part of this venture is our focus on giving back to the Hmong women community responsible for creating the beautiful craft of paj ntaub. Therefore, a portion of Her Society’s proceeds will go towards the education and trade skills of Hmong women and children who live in Southeast Asia. We promise to support, encourage and empower our fellow mothers, sisters and daughters.

Along with your support for our vision, together we are stronger. Together, we are one society.

I alone cannot change the world, but I can cast a stone across the waters to create many ripples.
